The program has been renewed - grants are now available for those looking to start, expand or buy a business.
Starter Company+ offers business training, coaching, mentoring, and a $5,000 grant opportunity for participating clients who start, buy or expand a business in Oxford County. Everyone is eligible for business training, coaching and mentor-matching, but grants are limited and designed to help support and develop long-term sustainable business models.

​Every summer, The Small Business Centre fosters the entrepreneurial spirit of students aged 15 to 29 who are returning to school in the fall through its Summer Company program. In place of a summer job, students have the opportunity to be their own boss. All that’s required is a good summer company idea, a detailed business plan, commitment and hard work. In addition to hands-on training and mentorship from local business owners, successful students receive financial support with awards up to $3,000.
